| June 6, 2019 1:00 AM

Intermax Networks today announced their purchase of TNT Communications Inc. of Sandpoint.

TNT was the oldest established Telecom Systems provider serving Eastern Washington, North Idaho, and Western Montana. The transaction shows Intermax’s growth and commitment to Sandpoint, and continues the expansion of the region’s premier voice and internet provider.

“Dave Turner built a strong business and his company has a stellar reputation for integrity, service, and quality products in Sandpoint and beyond,” said Mike Kennedy, president of Intermax. “With his retirement, we’ll continue to build on that tradition and add internet, IT managed services, and additional voice options for TNT’s broad customer base.

Both TNT and Intermax have offered an evolving suite of telecommunications services, paired with industry-leading customer personalization. With this merger, TNT’s full-service voice solutions will be added to the comprehensive telephone and voice portfolio Intermax already supports.

TNT’s Jeff Beyer will join the Intermax team working out of the Intermax Sandpoint office and continue to work with the customers that he knows so well.

The last several years have brought about massive technology changes and innovation in the telecom industry. Intermax is expanding their already extensive network in North Idaho and offers internet, voice, data, transport, and other telecom products on both fiber and private microwave networks that are redundant and path diverse.

“We continue to assemble the most capable voice and data solution team in our region. This gives our customers the advantages of the best technology and the comfort of local support people. We are North Idaho owned, operated, and our decisions are all made here,” Kennedy said.
