HATRED: The sound of silence
I have been attending breakfast off and on with the Pachyderm Club in Coeur d’Alene since retiring in 2010. Two months ago, I gave a presentation on socialism. Virtually everyone in the club is against socialism, but I was allowed to speak anyway. Everyone was polite and quietly listened to what I had to say. After I finished, there were several comments and questions about my views. I may not have changed any minds, but felt that I adequately dealt with the issues raised by the other members.
Last Friday, I was looking forward to hearing a speaker present her views on Muslim terrorists, a topic of great interest to me after watching thousands of Americans murdered by Muslim terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately, the presentation was canceled because of threats to disrupt the meeting by a pro-Muslim hate-group pretending to be against hatred.
