Crime task force seeks Jason Smith

The North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force (NIVCTF) is seeking information leading to the apprehension of Jason Daniel Smith, also known as Jason Hacker.

Smith is being sought on a Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office warrant for parole violations on possession of a controlled substance, grand theft and grand theft by unauthorized control.

Smith is a white male, 41 years old, six feet tall, 211 pounds bald with blue eyes. Smith was most recently listed as living in Hayden, Idaho.

The NIVCTF, consisting of members of the FBI, Idaho State Police, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Post Falls Police Department, Rathdrum Police Department, and the Idaho Department of Corrections, is tasked with locating and apprehending violent fugitives charged with such crimes as homicide, bank robbery, robbery, kidnapping, rape / sexual assault, felonious assault, arson, drug trafficking, etc.
