Coeur d'Alene School Board approves contract, 6% raise

| June 4, 2019 1:00 AM

The Coeur d'Alene School Board approved the contract agreement for the upcoming school year during Monday evening's school board meeting.

The contract gives teachers, bus drivers, classroom aides, food-service workers, custodians and other employees with Coeur d'Alene Public Schools a pay raise of 6 percent.

The negotiation process was amicable: The Coeur d'Alene Education Association, which represents certified employees, and district negotiators, representing the Board of Trustees, reached an agreement during a daylong negotiations session last Tuesday.

CEA membership approved the contract during a meeting Friday.
