- Knudtsen Chevrolet holds its sixth-annual Community Celebration on June 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. Music, food and soft drinks provided; wine and beer sales benefit Post Falls Senior Center. The dealership is celebrating 80 years in business. It will give a new car to a student from Post Falls, Lake City, Coeur d’Alene, Lakeland or Timberlake high school at 5:45 p.m.

- Area firefighters will receive wildfire training beginning today. The courses, administered by the U.S. Forest Service, are not open to the public. They culminate Thursday afternoon with controlled fire exercises. Firefighters attending these courses will learn wildfire techniques and best practices and will earn certification upon completion.

- The state’s new and improved transparency website goes public today.

According to Idaho Controller Brandon Woolf, the site, transparent.idaho.gov, offers more ways than ever for citizens to see how their public dollars are being spent.

- The boat launch parking lot on Upper Twin Lake will be closed for maintenance on Wednesday from 4:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
