Claudia Hovland Frasca, 64
Claudia Frasca, 64, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away during the night of Sunday, May 26, 2019. Claudia was born in Moorhead, Minn. on Aug. 30, 1954, to Raymond Hovland and Dollie (Korteff) Hovland. The family later moved to Keller, Texas, to the family farm, where she grew up. Claudia graduated from Keller High School in 1972. She lived for a time in Okinawa, where she discovered her love of scuba diving and got her divemasters certification.
She later moved to Vacaville, Calif., where she met her lifelong love, Bud Frasca. They married Dec. 3, 1983. Their son, Armond, was born Feb. 22, 1985, followed by their daughter, Brittany on March 23, 1990. Claudia spent some time raising both of her children and loved her family and friends above all else. She always looked out for friends and family and spent her life laughing and helping as many people as possible.
The family moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in June of 1994. She continued working as a checker once they moved, and when Fred Meyer opened in 1997, she began working there. At Fred Meyer she was a checker, checker trainer and a customer service representative. She enjoyed cooking, playing board and card games, reading, scuba diving and helping people. She was always helping coworkers when they were going through hard times. She donated regularly to St. Jude’s, she helped out at school functions for her kids, and she was the den mother for her son’s Cub Scout troop. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and had an unwavering faith in the holy trinity.
