THANKS: For memorable weekend

On behalf of the Auxiliary to VFW Post No. 889, I would like to thank the management of Super 1 Foods in Coeur d’Alene and Walmart for their support of our poppy drive over Memorial Day weekend. All the money donated stays in our community to help veterans, their families and our community.

Some examples of how we help our community include the following: provide scholarship funds to high school students, projects to help homeless veterans, adopt families at Christmas, donate to Quilts of Valor, Wreaths across America, and provide emergency funds when needed to veterans or their families.

I have lived in the Midwest, East Coast, West Coast and Europe. Never had I seen so much patriotism as I do here in Coeur d’Alene.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you do for our veterans and their families who have made so many sacrifices for their country.
