- United Way of North Idaho's Ride for ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This motorcycle ride along the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene will help local low-income families with childcare. The ride is $20 per rider, begins at Terre Coffee, 5417 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene, and ends at Curley's Hauser Junction, 26433 W. Highway 53 in Post Falls.
- U.S. Sen. Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, will hold town meetings on Tuesday, Aug. 6: He will be at Masonic Lodge No. 34, 40710 Riverview Drive, Cataldo, at noon, the Emida Community Center, 130 S. Station Ave., at 2 p.m., the Fernwood Community Center, 64361 Highway 3, at 3 p.m. and at the Medicine Mountain Grange, 31146 Highway 3, Medimont, at 4:30 p.m.
