BIASES: Just watch network TV

I just wanted to voice my agreement with Ralph Ginorio’s My Turn (July 20 Press) except to say that the racial and cultural bias is not limited to film. It is even more prevalent on network television, even the advertisements where political correctness dominates.

How many ads do you see with at least one token minority? Or story lines showing street violence in America normalized as a way of life … the American way, or TV news struggling to end with a one minute “feel good” story while the remaining news coverage shows primarily what went wrong today with our president, our elected officials and our community.
