Woman dies in 2-vehicle crash in Post Falls
POST FALLS — An 82-year-old Post Falls woman died after a two-vehicle collision Saturday evening at the Seltice Way/Interstate 90 interchange, Idaho State Police reported.
A 2006 Subaru Forester driven by Lucy Abdelrahman was westbound on I-90 at the Exit 6 off ramp shortly before 6 p.m. when she failed to stop at the stop sign, police reported. Her SUV struck a vehicle driven by Kevin C. Gonzales, 48, of Post Falls head-on, causing Abdelrahman to flip onto the roadside of Seltice Way.
Abdelrahman was pronounced dead at the scene, police reported, while Gonzales and his passenger, Ursula F. Gonzales, 45, of Post Falls, were transported to Kootenai Health with non life-threatening injuries.
All three people involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts, police reported. The crash remains under investigation.
