Locals off the pace after Day 2 at Rosauers

SPOKANE — PGA professional Jared Lambert of Meadow Lakes Golf Course (Prineville, Ore.) shot a 6-under-par 65 on Saturday to build a two-stroke lead after two rounds of the 54-hole Rosauers Open Invitational at Indian Canyon Golf Course.

Lambert is at 11-under 131. Two other PGA professionals, Justin Wiles of Running Y Ranch Resort (Klamath Falls, Ore.) and Liam Kendregan of Sand Point Country Club (Seattle) are at 9-under 133. Wiles shot 67, Kedregan 65 on Saturday.

The 32nd annual tourney concludes today.

First-round leader Corey Prugh shot 69 on Saturday and is tied for fourth at 8-under 134.

Amateur Andrew Von Lossow (Prairie Falls) leads the locals, tied for 15th at 4 under after a second straight 69. Billy Bomar (Prairie Falls) shot 66 to move up into a tie for 18th at 3-under 139.

Other locals making the cut: Amateur Reid Hatley (Hayden Lake) 71-70—141, Austin Westphal (Avondale) 70-71—141, North Idaho College coach Russell Grove (74-68—142), Taylor Porter (Avondale) 70-72—142, Jess Wingett (The Highlands) 72-73—145 and amateur Chase Mitchell (Avondale) 69-77—146.
