Four-time champ Prugh leads Rosauers after first day
SPOKANE — PGA professional and Community Colleges of Spokane golf coach Corey Prugh shot a 6-under-par 65 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead after the first round of the 32nd Rosauers Open Invitational at Indian Canyon Golf Course.
Prugh has won the Rosauers four times — 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.
Five pros are tied for second after shooting 66 — Jared Lambert of Meadow Lakes (Prineville, Ore.), Shane Prante of The Home Course (DuPont, Wash.), Tony Robydek of Meadow Park (Tacoma), Todd Pence of The Fairways (Cheney), and Justin Wiles of Running Y Ranch (Klamath Falls, Ore.).
Amateurs Chase Mitchell (Avondale) and Andrew Von Lossow (Prairie Falls) are the top locals after the first day, tied for 16th after shooting 2-under 69s.

The 54-hole tournament, which features a purse of $135,000, continues today and concludes Sunday.
