Grad transfer Forrest
joins Vandal men’s team
MOSCOW — Idaho men’s basketball announced that graduate transfer Quinton Forrest is joining the squad for the 2019-20 season.
“Quinton is a veteran, strong forward that’s going to be able to compete on both ends,” interim Vandal head coach Zac Claus said. “He can score attacking the basket, rebound the ball and defend multiple positions.
“He has a level of toughness and maturity about him that will help us. He already has his degree, and will pursue his master’s degree here at Idaho.”

Prior to Jacksonville, Forrest played at Bethune Cookman. As a sophomore, he started 30 of 32 games, and finished third on the team with 12.2 points per game. He grabbed 5.3 rebounds per contest, the second-best mark on the squad, and led the team with 36 steals. Forrest shot 53.4 percent from the floor as a sophomore, the third-best average in the MEAC.
As a freshman, Forrest appeared in 30 games for Bethune Cookman, starting 12. He averaged 4.9 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, and earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors three times.
Forrest played his high school ball at West Orange in Winter Garden, Fla., where he earned All-Metro Conference honors as a senior.
