Briefly Noted

- The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is sponsoring the area’s local event in connection with the National Night Out, a community-building campaign that focuses on police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The event will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 6 at McIntire Family Park in Hayden.

- A silent auction and raffle to benefit Spirit Lake's Jessica Brown will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Falls Club, 611 E. Seltice Way, Post Falls. Proceeds will help cover medical expenses for Brown, who has been treated for a brain condition called Chiari malformation, which affects balance, since 2016.

- Jesse Warburton, host of Soul Express on Spokane Public Radio, will perform blues and gospel music at the Community Library in Athol from 4:30 to 6 p.m. this evening. He will perform at the Post Falls Library from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23. Gary Edwards is performing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 23 at the Hayden Library. He’ll be covering music popular in the late 1950s.
