Teen missing in Hayden area

| July 17, 2019 2:33 PM

UPDATE (July 18): Kyle Davidson has been located. He is reportedly in good health and will be reunited with his family.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in finding a missing/runaway teen from the Garwood area.

Kyle Davidson, 15, was last seen on Dodd Road in the Hayden area. Kyle had reportedly been in the area for about five hours prior to running away from the youth rehabilitation facility. It was reported he ran into the woods to the north of the home and has been missing since July 16 at around 5:55 p.m.

Kootenai County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area. After searching the property and neighboring properties, Kyle was not located. Deputies continued to check the area throughout the night and morning and were still not able to locate him.

Kyle has only been in the area for one day and has no family or friends there. It is unknown what he was wearing when he left. Kyle is currently not a danger to himself or the public; this behavior is reportedly normal for him when he is placed into a new home.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone who sees Kyle to call the Sheriff’s Office at (208) 446-1300.

Additionally, police advise that any residents in the area check their out buildings, as Kyle has broken into sheds to hide in the past.
