ABORTION: Where did that come from?

| July 17, 2019 1:00 AM

In the July 12 issue of The Press, John Tappero criticizes my July 7 letter commending MoveOn for their demonstration against our abuse of immigrant children at the southern border. Also, in comparing activism like that to the Kootenai County Dems’ passing a mere resolution, there was some intended irony. It appears Mr. Tappero didn’t get that.

But more surprisingly, he didn’t seem to get the fact that my letter, which he attacked with such pro-life passion, contained not one word on the subject of abortion or the unborn. It addressed, solely, the gross mistreatment of children, having been delivered from the womb and needing the care and nurturing that all children need. And, at our southern border, not getting it. Getting, instead, concrete beds to sleep on, to name just one of many flagrant abuses.

This outrage, this policy, has been ongoing. The president approves and the public approves of him, at something like 45%. And people who hate abortion but don’t care all that much for children are just part of the problem.
