Larry C. Sumner, 75

Sept. 14, 1942 — July 23, 2018

Larry was born and raised in Dayton, Wash. He joined the Air Force and was stationed in Alaska, California, Vietnam, Philippines, Korea, Japan and Okinawa. Larry was a Vietnam veteran and left the service in 1971, after more than 10 years. In 1964, during the time he was enlisted, he married Dorothy Jean.

Larry did some contracting work and then was hired on with GTE/Verizon; he retired in 2001. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America (Explorer Scouts Post 222), Children’s Village, and was the owner of The Grail Restaurant. He was a hard worker and enjoyed talking and telling stories.

The family is inviting friends and family to come and celebrate Larry’s life with them from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 2803 Fruitland Lane, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815.
