- The Hayden Lake Divide Road 406 on the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District has been closed for road construction from the intersection of the Deception Creek Road 612 at Windy Ridge to the junction with the Railroad Grade Road 206 at Burnt Cabin Summit. The roadwork, which includes heavy equipment, is expected to continue throughout July.

Timber harvesting in the Huckleberry Mountain, Windy Ridge and Burnt Cabin Saddle area will also require closing Forest Service Road 206 this summer. For more information, contact the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger Station at 208-664-2318.

- Tickets are on sale for “Madame Butterfly” at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox, 1001 W. Sprague Ave., Spokane, for performances on Sept. 20 and 22. Soprano Elizabeth Caballero and tenor Chad Shelton will star. Both artists performed in the 2018-19 New York Metropolitan Opera.
