Independent Banker recognizes Bobbitt with new award
Independent Banker, the flagship publication of Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), has named David V. Bobbitt as one of its 40 Under 40: Emerging Community Bank Leaders. The first-annual, nomination-based award recognizes up-and-coming community bankers who demonstrate exceptional potential in leadership, innovation and community work.
Bobbitt was responsible for the overhaul of Community 1st Bank’s social media platforms and website, making mobile banking attractive to customers of all ages. He is part of the Millennial Committee, a group of younger employees that shares different perspectives with management. Bobbitt is also part of a team that led loan growth for the bank’s newest branch, which fully absorbed its expansion expense and added to profitability within one year. Outside of work, Bobbitt is part of the Coeur Group of professionals, which undertakes projects like building lockers at local elementary schools and stocking them with supplies for at-risk kids.
Holmes awarded by Edward Jones
Debbie Holmes, financial advisor with Edward Jones in Rathdrum, recently won the firm’s Edward Jones Sr. Founders Award for her exceptional achievement in building client relationships. Holmes was one of 2,127 of the firm’s 18,000 financial advisors to receive the award.
“It’s truly an honor to be recognized for building relationships with those clients we serve,” said Holmes. “And it is also quite inspirational to receive an award named after a firm legend such as Edward Jones Sr. who was so innovative and recognized the need for quality financial advice for long-term individual investors.”
