RATHDRUM — Matt Fleming struck out four and drove in two runs for the Prairie Cardinals in a 15-2 win over the Northern Lakes Mountaineers in class AA North Idaho League play on Tuesday at Gorton Field.

Brock Zeller, Tanner McCliment-Call and Fleming scored two runs each for Prairie (10-19-1, 4-6 NIL), which concludes the regular season with a doubleheader against Coeur d’Alene next Tuesday at Thorco Field in Coeur d’Alene starting at 5 p.m.

Northern Lakes (0-10 NIL) travels to Lewis-Clark for a doubleheader tonight at Harris Field in Lewiston, starting at 5.

COEUR d’ALENE — Alex Karns singled to score David Kraak with the winning run with two out in the eighth inning, leading the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen past the Mt. Spokane Wild at Thorco Field.

Coeur d’Alene led 9-2 after three innings, scoring six runs in the bottom of the third inning to stretch the lead.

Mt. Spokane answered with an eight-run fourth to take a 10-9 lead.

Coeur d’Alene regained the lead at 11-10 in the fourth as Dylan Brum scored on a wild pitch.

Karns and Brandon Gay had two RBIs each for Coeur d’Alene (25-11-1), which competes in the Boise Summer Classic starting on Thursday. The Lums will face the Boise Capitals at Capital High at 8 a.m., then face the Columbia Reach of Kennewick, Wash., at Mountain View High in Meridian at 4:15 p.m.
