Joyce A. Poncato, 69

Joyce Anne Poncato passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on Friday, June 21, 2019, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Joyce was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years and childhood sweetheart, Dennis; three wonderful sons: Mario, Michael and Matthew and their wives: Amy, Anna and Mary; along with her six grandchildren: Samuel, Joseph, Jacob, Mark, Sophia and Christian; her mother, Dorothy Iudice; her sister, Carolyn and her brother, Ron.

Joyce was born on Oct. 18, 1949, in San Francisco. She grew up in the San Jose area surrounded by her aunts, uncles and cousins, whom she loved very much. Joyce fell in love with the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, area, while on a trip with her husband in 2005. She was finally able to fulfill her dream of moving there full time in the fall of 2015.

She was a woman of faith and dedicated her life to her family. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. In lieu of gifts or flowers, Joyce asked for everyone to hug their loved ones and to make the most of every moment.
