Woman in good condition after I-90 rollover

| July 1, 2019 4:08 PM

A 22-year-old Coeur d'Alene woman was in good condition at Kootenai Health on Monday afternoon after being injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 90 at Post Falls on Sunday.

According to Idaho State Police, Zoe Townsend was driving a 2019 Toyota Corolla eastbound at the Highway 41 interchange at 4:04 a.m.

"She fell asleep on her way home from work," said ISP Trooper Sean Lind. "The car left the roadway, drifted into the median and overturned."

The car came to rest upside down in the middle of the westbound lanes. Townsend was unconscious when emergency responders arrived.

"The accident blocked both lanes of westbound traffic for about two hours," Lind said.

Townsend, the lone occupant in the car, was wearing her seatbelt. She did not have to be extricated from the vehicle.
