PRESIDENTS: Tracing the odor

| January 25, 2019 12:00 AM

In response to Del Cameron’s “Sniff Test” opinion piece on Jan. 20, I would submit to him that the stench he smells is actually lingering from the administration of Barack Obama. He criticizes President Trump for attacking the press, yet never in our nation’s history has a vitriolic press been so deserving.

Praise for dictators? No president in recent memory has done more to aggrandize dictators than Barack Obama, “normalizing” relations with his Communist comrade in Cuba; entering into a traitorous agreement with our sworn enemy, Iran; standing idly by as Russia ran roughshod over the Ukraine; and allowing ISIS to burgeon.

Rarely has a president exhibited more contempt for our Constitution than Barack Obama, whose political identity was carefully shaped by his association with Communists and domestic terrorists. Had Hillary Clinton won the election, Mr. Obama’s shameful “legacy” likely would have continued for another eight years.

The Democratic Party envisions a nation whose people are disarmed; where religious faith prospers, as long as it isn’t Christianity; where the murder of unborn children persists as a modern convenience; where citizens who disagree with the Democratic platform are labeled Nazis and racists; where enforcing immigration laws is a crime, lest hordes of future Democratic voters be disenfranchised; where non-citizens have more rights than citizens; where men are guilty for being men, and even more so if they are white; where individual rights and economic prosperity are subjugated by environmental fascism; where our electoral college has been abolished because it didn’t favor the losing candidate.

Lest you doubt me, the Democrats have created a prototype of this future society in the state of California. Should that vision ever come to pass at a national level, we’ll all need to wear respirators for the stench.
