SPEAKER: A worthy champion

| January 23, 2019 12:00 AM

“Everyone thinks to change the world but no one thinks to change himself.” Leo Tolstoy’s words carry a heavy and hard truth that weighs on many hearts when it comes to the subject of abortion.

I not only applaud Jenn Jenson, but am overjoyed as an orphan for seven years in Saratov, Russia. Jenson actively became a solution to a need she not only recognized but felt in her soul to remedy through meaningful actions that have proven invaluable to her beloved children.

“I’d never had a daddy before” are words that hit home for me, for if we dissect that statement further, Aubrey never had a chance for life, engagement, love and community — all components found in a loving family — until she met her new parents. They not only gave her a chance at life but gave her an opportunity to live life to its fullest.

Congratulations to your family and thank you for being the change you wish to see. Continue to navigate the delicate emotional questions and curiosities your children have with care, long suffering patience and exemplary love and they follow in your footsteps to blossom and grow into incredibly wonderful people as you.

You did not endorse adoption or pro life values. You championed them courageously. Thank you.
