PETS: Some kindness, please

I’m tired of constant letters about politics! Let’s talk about something close to home — animals left outside in freezing conditions!? I just don’t get it.

Poor dogs, three to a small pen, two dog houses with wet sawdust in them — no cover over the small dog pen and all three are out there 24/7. Dogs and cats are domesticated. They are pets. Maybe malamutes or huskies are made for North Idaho winters, but breeds with short hair? I don’t think so.

If you care any more than that about your dogs and cats that they are left out in such horrible conditions, don’t have them!

Also, people here should always drive with their lights on day and night. It would be so much safer that way for all of us. That’s it. Thank you.
