LEWISTON — After making its longest road trip in 5A Inland Empire League play, Coeur d’Alene paid it from deep on Tuesday night.

Drew Hostetter scored 11 of his team-high 17 points in the first half for the Vikings, who finished 10-for-23 from the 3-point line in a 73-65 win over the Lewiston Bengals at Booth Hall.

“We put some pressure on them in the first half and were able to get some turnovers and easy baskets,” Coeur d’Alene coach Tony Hanna said. “They figured out our press in the second half and got back into it, but I thought we did a good job of keeping our composure and extending the lead in the second half.”

Kale Edwards scored 15 points and Connor King scored 14 points for Coeur d’Alene (10-3, 2-0 5A IEL), which travels to Post Falls on Friday.

Donaven Santana scored 19 of his game-high 22 points in the second half for Lewiston (4-8, 0-2), which travels to Lake City on Friday.
