Kess Alan Collins

Kess Alan Collins flew to God’s resting place in Heaven and is with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 22, 2018.

Kess was born on Jan. 20, 1999, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Kess is survived by his mom, Sondra Lynn Collins of Loon Lake, Wash., by his grandparents Art and Judy Collins from Hayden, Idaho, his uncle and aunt Ryan and Carrie, and his cousins Kylie, Parker, and Bailey Collins.

He leaves behind a large extended family and an amazing set of friends. He is also survived by his dad, Terry Alan Brown, stepmother, Annie Ackerman-Brown, stepsister Jessica Heather, and stepbrother Mason, step-nephews Race, Kellan and Karsten and step-niece Lylaan.

Kess enjoyed time with helping his mom and was always generous. He was very funny and had a mesmerizing smile and aura and a huge heart. His last words said it best, as he said, “Thanks Mom, love you, Mom, you are the light of my life.”

Kess was a major athlete in lacrosse since fourth grade and played as forward offensive and recruited to the Sea-Town Kings LaCrosse team in Seattle, Wash., early in his career. He went on to play in Kennewick Southridge lacrosse as a sophomore, and junior year lettered in lacrosse at Coeur d’Alene “Vikings” High School in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and scored third place in Idaho State in most goals and assists in 2016-2017.

Then he went on to play back to Kennewick, Wash., and graduated at Southridge “Suns” High School in June 2017. All this time, he was a youth coach, mentor, and referee for the US National Association of Lacrosse. Other hobbies included singing, drumming, guitar, skateboarding, rafting, fly fishing, hiking, biking and archery. His favorite summer pastime were relaxing, swimming, waterski and boating with friends and family on their dockside place at Loon Lake, Wash.

He was recently accepted and moved to University of Idaho, Moscow, for the 2019-2020 school year as a major in child psychology and to continue in the U.S. National LaCrosse coaching and referee program.

Kess will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and relations. Prayer and blessings will continue well into the future. A wake, and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Unity Church, 3993 Colville Road, Loon Lake, Wash. 99148.

May Kess rest in the eternal light of love and always flying among us, our Kestrel Falcon. He was gathered by the angels and sent to a better place in Heaven; to eternal peace; to “Worship and Serve the LORD.”
