“It was a great game,” Coeur d’Alene assistant coach Nicole Symons said. “Kelly played unbelievable. Skylar played amazing defense on (Lewiston senior Kendyll) Kinzer all game long. It was a big win for us.”

Coeur d’Alene travels to Post Falls on Friday.

“Defensively we did a pretty good job,” said Post Falls coach Marc Allert, whose squad lost to Lake City by 46 points last month. “We held them to four points in the third quarter, until the last 30 seconds. Then we turned it over three times in the last 30 seconds and they scored three straight layups.

“It’s hard to score against them,” he added. “They’re big inside, and their guards put a lot of pressure on you on the outside.”

MOSCOW — Brooke Jessen scored 15 of her game-high 22 points in the first half to lead the Tigers past the Bears in a nonleague game at Bear Den.

“We did a good job on the defensive end all night,” Timberlake coach Matt Miller said. “They got a lot of second and third chances at the hoop, but didn’t convert a lot of them. I really like how we played offensively in the first half getting the ball up and down the court, but it was a cold third quarter (Timberlake shot 1 for 16 in the third), but they were good looks.”

McKeeley Tonkin and Taryn Soumas scored six points each for Timberlake (15-2), which travels to Bonners Ferry on Saturday.
