NAMPA — Post Falls senior Ridge Lovett pinned Zachary Mauras of Crook County in the 132-pound final to win his fourth straight individual title at the Rollie Lane Invitational at the Ford Idaho Center on Saturday.

“His tournament was really dominant and he had a great tournament,” Post Falls coach Pete Reardon said. “He’s always got some edge to him and trying to find a way to score points.”

Roddy Romero was third at 98, A.J. De La Rosa third at 138, Tyler Morris fourth at 160 and Isaac Jessen fifth at 132 for Post Falls, which finished third with 177.5 points.

“We had some good matches, and some bad,” Reardon said. “We’re proud of our kids. We won a few that we needed and wish we had a few matches back.”

In the inaugural girls tournament, Brelane Huber (113/120) and Jaselyn Jones (138/145) won titles for Post Falls, which finished runner-up to Ontario (Ore.).

“It was great to see,” Reardon said. “It was really, really cool to see Brelane and Jaselyn win. We only had three girls down here, but to have two champs and a fourth, it’s a great accomplishment.”

“Sam’s been wrestling tough the past few weeks,” Lakeland coach Rob Edelblute said. “He met a stud in the finals, but it was a competitive match. Overall, the kids wrestled well.”

Lakeland travels to Moscow on Wednesday.

Coeur d’Alene freshman Gunner Giulio finished second at 152 pounds, and teammate Mitchell Moffat was sixth at 160. Giulio lost 3-2 in the finals to Elijah Cleaver of Nyssa (Ore.).

“He wrestled really hard and really smart,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Moffat said of Giulio. “He wrestles six minutes, he doesn’t take breaks. He’s real savvy for a freshman.”

Coeur d’Alene finished 13th with 96.5 points.

Coeur d’Alene returns to action Friday and Saturday at the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic in Missoula.

Isaiah Evans finished third at 126 and Joey Follini fifth at 182 for Timberlake.
