| January 3, 2019 12:00 AM

Two Kootenai County residents are being considered for the North Idaho (District 1) position on the Idaho Transportation Department’s Public Transportation Advisory Council.

Len Crosby, of Post Falls, and Kimberly Hobson, of Hayden, are among three people being considered for the spot on the advisory council. Ryan Luttman, of Sandpoint, is also being considered.

Crosby, a businessman, is deeply involved in veterans affairs and other local community service and civic endeavors. Hobson has experience as a family self-sufficiency expert for Idaho Housing and Finance and as a public transit program specialist for Kootenai County.

The six-member Public Transportation Advisory Council assists in making funding recommendations to the ITD Board.

Council members, who are appointed by the board, are representatives of local governments and agencies, private organizations, citizen groups and private providers that have an interest in public transportation, and people with disabilities and the elderly who use public transportation. Each council member serves a three-year term.

The potential council members’ applications are available for public comment from Jan. 3 through Feb. 2. They can be viewed by visiting itd.idaho.gov/pt.
