Cardinal men cap unbeaten conference slate

PASCO, Wash. — Nate Pryor scored 28 points and Phillip Malatare had 10 assists for North Idaho College in a 125-76 win over Columbia Basin College on Wednesday to cap a perfect 16-0 season in Northwest Athletic Conference play.

RayQuan Evans scored 15 points for NIC (27-2, 16-0 NWAC), which is off until the NWAC Championships at Everett Community College next weekend. NIC will find out its first-round opponent on Sunday during the NWAC Selection Show starting at 7:30 p.m. at www.nwacsports.org.

Columbia Basin (5-22, 2-13) wraps up the season tonight at Treasure Valley.

NIC (20-8, 10-6) wrapped up a playoff berth with a win last Saturday at Yakima Valley. NIC will find out its first-round opponent for the NWAC Championships during the conference’s selection show on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at www.nwacsports.org. Columbia Basin (14-13, 5-10) travels to Treasure Valley tonight to conclude the season.
