Tell us about yourself

Background:

I always was motivated to do the best I could in all ventures of life. In elementary school I loved taking Leadership class and helped with pep rallies and community projects such as the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery and Union Gospel Mission, which saw us serving and setting up projects to help both charities. I always was entrepreneurial; a lawn-raking business in the fall and a golf ball business where I would find stray balls and sell them to people by the bucket. I loved playing basketball and soccer as a kid and even got to travel to Europe in middle school to play competitively. I always have been a dreamer seeking what I personally can do to help people in my path, which in my young adult life saw me taking a life-changing mission trip to Ethiopia to serve in orphans' and widows' homes across the country.

Generation:

I am a dreamer. I am motivated by what I can do to help our community here and abroad and that extends into my husband Scott’s and my business ventures together. I am a millennial.

Parental status:

I am a proud mother of three, one of which is growing in my tummy as we speak.

1. What is one of your favorite animals and why?

I love the German shepard dog because it is intelligent, beautiful and a hero in many cases — being one of the most used working dogs in police, search and rescue and military work.

2. Who influences you the most?

I think the person growing up who influenced me the most is my grandfather, “Papa” Arlen Looney. He was a hardworking, loving, selfless human being that helped to show me that I could do anything that I put my mind to. He helped me to understand that literally anything is possible and that I think is where a lot of my perspective on life is derived from!

3. What does success mean to you?

Goals are great. Achieving them is awesome, but I would say for me, success is measured by what a person can do to help bring light and love to the world!

4. What is something people would be surprised to find out about you?

That I am a proud geek! I love watching "Star Wars" with my boys Noah, Jacob and Scott. I have a deep love for anime, my favorite of which is "Samurai Champloo" that my husband, Scott, introduced to me.

5. If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

I wouldn’t want to trade places with anyone. I am super content in the life that I lead and I would completely miss the experiences, good and bad; and, of course, my amazing kids Noah, Jacob, Cynthia (in my belly) and my amazing husband, Scott, our dog Akira and my amazing friends and family here in Coeur d’Alene and around the world.
