GOVERNOR: Response inadequate

| February 8, 2019 12:00 AM

Are you kidding me Ada County? What right do you have considering it’s not the first time one of those trucks passed through our state? Was Governor Little throwing a party or just playing Big Brother again?

I have lived in Coeur d’Alene my whole life and over the 48 years I’ve seen the changes, both good and bad, but lately it’s more so the bad.

I’ve voiced my concerns to the governor and after several emails to him at his public email address governor@gov.id.gov, but after about six or so emails, I FINALLY got a response. It was completely away from the topic of how businesses are closing, people move here to work in Washington, and Idaho is surrounded by states legally selling and raking in tax dollars that should be here too!

The interesting thing about the governor’s form letter is that it was sent by his assistant, Nate Fisher, whom I also emailed at least half a dozen times at his public email address Nate.Fisher@gov.idaho.gov to further express my concerns about our state and tax dollars going to Washington, Oregon and surrounding legal states. He encouraged me as did the governor to contact them with my concerns about Idaho. Well Mr. Little, just how do you expect Idaho businesses to go to a $12 hour minimum wage when they’re barely treading water in the present?

I encourage ALL of you reading this to contact the governor and Nate Fisher by email, mail, phone or however to voice what you see or has happened to you with things closing. This is the 21st century and Berlin Wall came down 30 years ago! Let Governor Little and Nate Fisher know how you feel because their emails are public and WE are the public!
