Travis Washburn, 43
Travis Donald Leo Washburn left this world to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 6, 2019, after a hard battle with lung cancer.
Travis was born in Boise on Feb. 2, 1976, and came to the Coeur d’Alene area at a young age. He graduated high school in Kellogg, Idaho, and worked at the Snake Pit. He moved on to work at a pellet mill in Coeur d’Alene and then IFI Sawmill, where he was promoted quickly because of his natural abilities and hard work.
In 2006, he opened a metal fabrication shop called Inland Fabrication, LLC. From there he was commissioned by his previous employers because they knew he would do a great job. He also loved to create art for décor shops and he built beautiful pieces for friends and customers out of metal. His passion was to find a need for equipment and build it or improve upon what existed.
In 2012, he closed shop and went to work to learn a new trade from his brother and continued in his family’s business. He learned the flooring trade and quickly ran his own crew. His brother and sister enjoyed working with him!
Travis was the one all his friends and family could look to when they needed advice, prayer or just a good conversation. He loved to hunt, shoot, fish, camp (Lake Elsie being his favorite) and cook. He was a man of many talents; no matter what it was, Travis could do it or fix it. He enjoyed teaching what he knew. He was strong and loving to all those around him and was ready and willing to help anyone who was in need. His family, friends, and neighbors could rely on him to be there when they needed a machine fixed, rebuilt or updated. He was always willing to lend a hand or a tool to anybody who needed help.
We will miss him deeply and love him always!
Travis is survived by his wife, Jennifer Washburn; son, Kyle Washburn; sister, Tiffiny McLeod; brother, Steve Washburn; sister, Randi Washburn; father, Larry Washburn and mother, Deborah Burks.
Although he left us too soon, we may rest well knowing he is with Jesus and all his suffering is gone. He is in God’s Kingdom forevermore, watching over his loved ones until the day we see him again.
Please come and celebrate his life and share your memories at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019. Services take place at Real Life Ministries (Building 2), 1860 N. Cecil Road, Post Falls, ID, 83854, with a potluck reception immediately following. All food and drinks are accommodated.
Grace is when God gives us things that we don’t deserve.
Mercy is when He spares us from bad things we deserve.
Blessings are when He is generous with both.
God is good all the time!
