REBUTTAL: U.S. center stage

| December 8, 2019 12:00 AM

America has never withdrawn from the world stage. Unfortunately, America has been sidelined behind the stage curtains by previous administrations economically, strategically and politically.

America is more prominent now on the world stage than ever before. Here are six counterpoints to the Uyless Black op-ed on Dec. 4.

One: America (Trump) withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal because it allowed Iran to build nukes without international sanctions. As a token gift from Obama, he gave Iran $1.5 billion in cash on a pallet on the runway and unfroze another $150 billion in assets so Iran could finance terrorism.

Two: The TPP was a bad deal for American workers and it allowed China to have finished products, assembled in other countries and shipped to America to avoid tariffs.

Three: Countering the Belt and Road Initiative. The current trade negotiations with China has squeezed their country relentlessly. China no longer has excess capital to spend on other nations.

Four: The Paris Climate accord was/is a joke. Once again, Globalist masters deem it their responsibility to impose unreasonably high restrictions on America while the rest of the world gets to skate on pollution responsibilities.

Five: NATO desperately needs a shake up. Germany imports oil from Russia, the very country NATO is supposed to be defending against.

Six: The Syria Withdrawal. It’s not our fight. We did not abandon the Kurds. The Kurds fight for whoever pays them, and we paid them handsomely.

America is not sulking away from anything. The policy now is America First.
