With the ski season underway, there’s plenty of fun to be had in December at the Dover Bay Waterfront Community on Lake Pend Oreille, located just a few minutes from Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

You can stay at a variety of beach and parkside rentals and bungalows at Dover Bay, or stay 3 miles down the road in downtown Sandpoint in a premium vacation rental at the Sandcreek Lofts and Sandpoint Marina. All make for relaxing sanctuaries after a day of skiing on the mountain.

Stay at a Dover Bay property, and you just might want to make it your permanent home.

Dover Bay is home to a variety of neighborhoods at different price points, including Bayside South, an area that overlooks the stunning Walson Wetland Park. Each property is spoiled with panoramic views of the wetlands and surrounding North Idaho mountains. Bayside South is also just a block away from the resort amenities at Dover Bay’s Marina Village on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille.

Four new Bayside South condos are under construction now and set to be move-in ready by the upcoming summer season. Each home comes with 1,380 square feet of space and includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a den area that can serve as an office or third bedroom. Each property also includes a one-car, detached garage.

The two upper-level homes boast vaulted ceilings in the living and dining areas, as well as a spacious deck area for outdoor entertaining. The two ground-level homes each come with a private courtyard area. Homes are rich with tall ceilings, windows and high end features, including a gas fireplace and the ability to choose your own interior finishes and colors. The homes are priced at $399,000.

Waterfront fun and relaxation at Lake Pend Oreille is just a short walk from Bayside South. Amenities at the nearby Marina Village include a full-service restaurant, The Dish, currently open for dinner 4-9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, as well as a fitness center, tennis courts, market, seasonal recreation rentals and a year-round, heated, outdoor swimming pool and spa. Short-term and full season moorage options for the 2020 season are also available now at the marina. Reserve your boat slip now.

In addition to its beautiful stand-alone views, the Bayside South neighborhood directly connects to Dover Bay’s expansive, 9-mile walking and biking trail system that showcases the nearby wetlands, the surrounding Cabinet and Selkirk Mountains, and waterfront views and access to Lake Pend Oreille. You’ll also have access to Dover Bay’s 9 acres of beach and park areas.
