Post Falls Toastmasters to celebrate 30 years
POST FALLS — The Post Falls Toastmasters Club will be celebrating its 30-year anniversary from 6:45 to 8 a.m. on Sept. 19 at Templin’s Red Lion Hotel downstairs in the Osprey-Blue Heron Room.
Members from other Toastmasters clubs, past and current Post Falls club members as well as community guests attend.
There will be keynote speakers, an opportunity for impromptu speaking and networking time.
Light refreshments will be served.
For anyone wishing to have the breakfast buffet, the cost is $11. Advance reservations can be made at 208-818-3029.
The Post Falls Toastmasters Club has touched hundreds of lives throughout by growing better public speakers and helping participants develop leadership skills.
Since 1989, the Post Falls club has supported Toastmasters International.
The Toastmasters Organization was founded in October 1924 by Ralph Smedly when the first Toastmasters meeting was held at the YMCA in Santa Ana, Calif.
There are more than 15,400 Toastmasters Clubs and 332,000 members in 135 countries.
More than 4 million men and women have benefited from Toastmasters International training.
More than 1,000 corporations and government agencies sponsor in-house Toastmasters Clubs as communication training workshops for their employees.
Specialized Clubs have been established at military bases, professional associations, colleges and universities, senior citizens homes, churches and in prisons.
