Foster, a 6-foot freshman middle blocker from Woodland, Wash., had 21 kills and 18 blocks for the Cardinals, who went 6-0 to open the season at the Northwest Athletic Conference friendlies in Springfield, Ore., on Aug. 25-26. “She had a great weekend and looked like she really enjoyed herself out there on the court,” NIC coach Kelsey Stanley said. “She’s a strong, athletic kid that is only going to get better throughout the season.”
