Janet Celene Peters Knapp Bergold

Dec. 16, 1958 — Aug. 20, 2019

A heart of gold and a gem of a soul has peacefully passed on.

Janet was as wild as she was sweet and had a laugh that will continue to affect us all. The amount of love she had for her family is matched by none. She was immediately available for any needs, especially those of her daughters. Janet saw the best in everyone and would always root for the underdog.

Preceded in death by her father, Fred Peters, and sisters, Jayne Willett and Joan McKeehan.

Survived by her mother, Dorothy Peters; sisters, Susie Thoft, Dottie Peters and Lisa Bugess; her husband of 29 years, David Bergold; daughters and their husbands, Shauna and Ryan Brown and Celene Thomas and Brady Kaley-Smith; and grandchildren, Jayne Brown, Mason Thomas, Adelaide Brown, Marion Brown, Ronald Brown, Karah Kaley-Smith, Ilyana Thomas and Levi Kaley-Smith.

A small service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at Ninepipes Reservoir. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter or fire department.

She is loved and will be sorely missed.
