ARTICLE: It's in the Constitution

| August 25, 2019 1:00 AM

Ref: Coeur d’Alene Press, Sunday, Aug. 18, Section A, page 7. In the article, “At least 13 people arrested at Portland, Ore., protest,” Gillian Flaccus, the AP writer, referenced President Trump’s statement that “…major consideration is being given to naming ANTIFA an ORGANIZATION of TERROR.” Flaccus then stated, “But it wasn’t clear what he meant by that as there’s no mechanism for the United States government to declare a domestic organization a terror group.”

I presume from this statement that Flaccus has never read the U.S. Constitution, Article 4, Section 4, to wit, “The United States shall guarantee every State in this Union…Protection…on Application of the Legislature, or the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.”

Seems the U.S. Government DOES have a mechanism to deal with whomever state authorities identify as causing domestic violence, and therefore is empowered to label it appropriately. Of course, it does require the state government to make the request, obviously bypassing Portland Mayor Wheeler, who seems to be sympathetic with ANTIFA. But then the Oregon state authorities are politically aligned with Wheeler anyway.

Looks like Portland will be allowed to burn down at the hands of its home-grown Organization of Terror before the cavalry is called in!
