VULGARITY: It's an epidemic
I can remember when we were able to go into Coeur d’Alene with the kids and know we would not have to worry about what went on around them. The values of the whole were very close to our own. It’s very sad to say this is no longer the case.
My children are now all grown but I have young employees tell me they no longer feel safe and comfortable going to city beach. The last time they went one group thought it was their right to play vulgar profanity-laced music so loud that all HAD to hear, small children included. Then the group of drunks close by was just about as obnoxious.
The last time my family was there, two groups of very intoxicated young people decided it was there right to fight and use profanity like it was their primary language. I by no means am a prude, but enough is enough. Why have the powers that be allowed this to go so far? Where is the decency? Is it that we are so in fear of having to be politically correct that all people have a right to infringe on the rights of those around them? What a shame that a drunk and vulgar group has more rights than a law-abiding family. This city should be ashamed of itself. If we say something that can be construed as non-PC then we are labeled racist. What a shame!
