DRIVERS: Please, slow down

To all drivers on Lower Hayden Lake Road, especially Washington plates. Lower Hayden Lake Road is not an Indy 500 test track! The speed limit is 25 mph, not 45 or 55. It is beyond comprehension how many cars and trucks think it’s OK to go low-flying aircraft speed down this road.

I have been passed three times doing the posted 25 mph limit. It’s a no pass road! The road has little or no shoulder. We have young children, people walking dogs and lots of older people out walking. Somebody is going to get hurt or killed if this madness does not stop.

Please, for the safety of all, slow down and enjoy the drive.

P.S.: If the county needs some extra money, a few sheriff’s deputies placed out on this road could pull in thousands of $ in a few days.
