Hicks, a Coeur d’Alene High product who played at NJCAA Yavapai, Portland and is a rising redshirt senior at Boise State, led the West Coast League — a collegiate summer baseball league — with 50 runs batted in this season for the Raptors, with nine home runs and a .320 batting average (57 for 178). Hicks closed the season with a flurry, collecting 16 RBI in his final-10 games. He finished the summer with a .433 on-base percentage and .539 slugging percentage.
