Workforce Training Center welcomes new director

A former North Idaho College student has returned — this time in a leadership role.

Vicki Isakson is the new director for NIC’s Workforce Training Center in Post Falls.

“Vicki brings a wealth of knowledge, education and extensive experience in workforce development,” vice president for instruction Lita Burns said in a news release.

Isakson graduated from Lewis & Clark State College and earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University. She worked for Idaho’s Department of Labor as the regional manager for 28 years.

Burns said she believes Isakson’s direct involvement in the Workforce Development Task Force is an asset in her new role as director.

“We are excited to have Vicki join our NIC family,” Burns said.
