Things are becoming real for The Northern complex apartments and commercial buildings northwest of the Ramsey Road-Hanley Avenue intersection.

The 13 buildings combine for 294 apartments and nine commercial units, ranging from 956 to 1,790 square feet and totaling 10,438 square feet on the ground floors with one drive through and residential places above. The official commercial addresses are 2007 and 2045 Tea Olive Lane. The complex includes a pool, gym, putting green, bocce-ball court and is pet friendly.

Three businesses planning to come in late summer are Union Coffee, Pokeworks (Hawaiian food) and Stretch Lab (exercise). Other businesses showing interest can contact Hayden Anderl, luxury property specialist of Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty at 208-964-0234 or hayden@cbinw.com.

The Wake Up Call building planned on Fourth Street

The Wake Up Call coffee business is building a new place in the former Taco Time location at 2517 N. Fourth St.

With a slogan of “great coffee using the best equipment with great customer service,” Wake Up Call started in Spokane in 2004. The new place should open in late November.

“Our signature phone booth and telephone motif symbolize the connections we wish to foster within our community,” said spokesman Christopher Arkoosh. “We endeavor to raise funds and awareness for many local organizations.”
