Tobey R. Wilkins, 71

Tobey Roy Wilkins was born May 26, 1948, at Lake City General Hospital, to Maitland and Lillian (Dulin) Wilkins. He died in Seattle on July 31, 2019, (his 25th wedding anniversary) due to complications following a surgery.

He graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School with the Class of 1966 and the University of Washington. Tobey chose to live in Seattle after college. His careers were in banking, boats, newspapers, as a school bus driver and a basketball referee. He operated a rescue tugboat in Puget Sound.

Tobey married Ruth Wilson in 1994. Ruth preceded him in death in 2015. He enjoyed his family and their pets, and all water-related activities around Seattle.

He is survived by his sister, Caroline Crollard of Coeur d’Alene; nephew, Chris (Liz) Hanks of Scottsdale, Ariz.; niece, Laura (Perry) Yongue of Coeur d’Alene; daughter, Lindsey (Aaron) Wilson Djemil and grandson, Russell Djemil; son, Stewart Wilson of Portland Ore.; brother-in-law, Chuck (Marge) Ridder, Palm Springs, Calif. and several cousins.
