Kootenai County Sheriff's Office reports missing ATV rider

Athol, Idaho: The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating missing Howard Coats.

Coats, 66, left his North Ponderosa Street home yesterday evening at about 7 p.m. on a 2004 Camo Bombarier Outlander ATV and has yet to return.

Coats was last seen shirtless wearing pajama bottoms. He suffers from some medical issues and does not have his medication with him.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office searched the area last night with the assistance of a helicopter from Spokane County. The search will continue today with assistance from Kootenai County Volunteer Search and Rescue.
