- Seright’s ACE Hardware in Rathdrum invites the community to a 40th anniversary celebration from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday at 14236 N. Highway 41 in Rathdrum. The event will feature food and drink, live music and prizes.

- Spirit Lake Library will be closed today and Saturday to shift the book collection as construction work is completed. Children’s books will be located in the rear of the building and will include a new librarian’s desk. The adult non-fiction collection will be moved to the front.

- The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality on Thursday has issued a notice that the air quality in North Idaho ranged from the moderate to unhealthy categories due to smoke from regional fires. It is predicted to be the same today. When air quality is unhealthy, everyone may begin to experience health effects. Members of sensitive groups should stay indoors as much as possible.
