Spirit Lake -- The Idaho Department of Lands fire crews with the assistance of local rural fire departments worked through the night and were able to complete and secure a fire line around the Bandy Fire. Kept to 140 acres, the fire burned primarily in grass. Today crews will begin mop-up activities. No structures were damaged.
The fire started yesterday about three-fourths of a mile east of Bandy Road outside the town of Spirit Lake, Idaho in a remote area on a privately-owned ranch.
Today’s expected temperatures are in the mid 90s. The public is reminded to use caution in the area as fire crews may be along the roadway. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
