ANARCHISTS: They're running GOP, NRA

Patty McEwen warns us the Communists have invaded the Democratic Party (Letters, Coeur d’Alene Press, July 17).

When I was a Republican, the party stood for conservatism, morality, honesty, integrity and anti-communism. Then the anarchists took over.

Today’s Republican Party embraces deficit spending, ignores adultery and sexual assault, forsakes honesty and integrity, panders to Putin, and grovels to the Commander in Cheat.

Given a choice between dishonest fascist-leaning Republicans and disorganized socialist-leaning Democrats, I’ll vote for Democrats.

When I was an NRA member, the association stood for responsible gun ownership, firearm safety and security, and reasonable gun control laws. Then the anarchists took over. Today’s NRA is irresponsible, unreasonable, promotes violence, panders to Putin and worships the Commander in Cheat.

Given a choice between NRA anarchy and safe schools, I’ll vote for gun control.
